Breaking News: Former Nebraska QB Chubba Purdy Signs with Nevada

Former Nebraska quarterback Chubba Purdy has officially signed with the University of Nevada, Reno football team. Purdy's arrival is a major boost for the Wolf Pack, who are looking to improve upon their 2-10 record from last season.
Three-Star Recruit with Big Potential
Purdy, a three-star recruit, spent the last two seasons with the Cornhuskers. In 12 games with four starts, he completed 60% of his passes for 710 yards and five touchdowns. He also ran for 107 yards and a touchdown.
"Chubba is a talented young quarterback with a lot of potential," said Nevada head coach Ken Wilson. "He can make all the throws and he's a good runner too. We're excited to have him join our team and believe he has a bright future ahead of him."
Purdy is expected to compete for the starting quarterback job this spring. The Wolf Pack will open the 2023 season on September 2 at home against New Mexico State.
