Route and Road Closures
The Boston Marathon route will begin in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, and end in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. The following road closures will be in effect on race day:Boston:
- Boylston Street from Exeter Street to Arlington Street
- Park Square from Devonshire Street to Arlington Street
- Tremont Street from Park Street to Boylston Street
- Charles Street from Boylston Street to Beacon Street
Brookline:
- Beacon Street from Charles Street to St. Mary's Street
Newton:
- Commonwealth Avenue from Centre Street to Oak Square
- Beacon Street from Oak Square to Chestnut Hill Avenue
- Eliot Street from Beacon Street to Commonwealth Avenue
Watertown:
- Mount Auburn Street from Charles River Road to Galen Street
- Galen Street from Mount Auburn Street to Commonwealth Avenue
Cambridge:
- Memorial Drive from Mount Auburn Street to Western Avenue
- Massachusetts Avenue from Memorial Drive to Beacon Street
